Installation & Operating Instructions

AA03-050-xxx Universal Fixture Plugs

Usage of your IVB UFP requires simple preparation of the "holding" side to accept the UFP outside diameter thread.

Prepare the "holding" side in the following manner:

Drill a 15/16" (.938) diameter (thru) hole.
C'Bore 1.17/1.178" x .015R to a depth of 1.152"

Tap(or thread) 1-1/4"-12
UNF-2B-LH to a depth of .950"

Once the "holding" side has been prepped, simply screw your IVB UFP into the appropriate hole using the AA03-002-001 install tool (do not exceed 30 ft-lb torque).
General

Your Invert-A-Bolt™ (IVB) Universal Fixturing Plug™ (UFP) is one of the primary components of the IVB universal Fixturing Concept. The UFP is a threaded insert that employs a left-hand thread on the outside diameter (OD) and a right-hand thread on the inside diameter (ID). This configuration allows the user to screw the UFP into an existing hole used for other IVB products and then to use the ID thread to screw other components into the UFP. Use your UFP to add clamps, jacks, riser blocks, edge supports and many other tooling components to your IVB Universal Fixture. Other uses of the UFP include: Use as a replacement for helical inserts with the advantage of easy instllation and remove; Use as a low cost "plug" in which fouled holes can be repaired.

Replacement Parts & Maintenance

1. Periodically remove IVB UFP, blow out hole to clean out accumulated metal chips and debris.
